DVD - Die Hard 4.0 Ultimate Action

Yippee Ki Yay is all we can say! John McClane has not lost it in this one. We
know some say cheesy but hey, with an office full of McClane wannabees, we hope there’s a 9.0 Zimmer frame sequel. Bring it on! Definitely for when the kids are in bed but granny is trying to stay awake. Yippee Ki Yay, what can we say, it’s contagious!!

DVD - Wildhogs.

Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William Macey star in what we say is the funniest film of 2007. 4 guys on a road trip on Harleys going across the States to escape their dull dailly routines!! We laughed out aloud in the very first scene with the credits when the guys meet for their first ride out. The scene of them camping in the woods is legendary. If you want a good laugh and something easy to watch this is a must.
Ye-gads score 10/10

DVD - Ocean's 13

We think they must have got the message that the sequel didn’t exactly hit the spot in our view. This is the boys back on form. Yes it’s another casino but the bad man Willie Bank is played superbly by Al Pacino. If you liked the first one you will love this. Cross Banks at your peril. For some reason the ladies don’t mind this one either. Can’t understand that!

The Heineken Drat Beer Keg.

This was a tough one to have to review but hey somebody has got to do it. This gets our thumbs up for that xmas bash or when the guys are over to watch the game. Contains 5 litres of draught Heineken. Very easy to put together and a good size for storage and to get in the fridge. It took us a few goes to master the pour but after that it tastes just as good as a pint down the pub. Word to the wise however if you are going to get this out for the guys to have watching the game on Saturday afternoon put it in the fridge Friday night. Heineken say you should chill it for 10 hours!! Enjoy. (Currently stocked at Sainsbury’s, Thresher and Makro)

Scalextric Street Pursuit

This was my Christmas present this year. My wife picked up on a conversation I was having with one of my pals, that I had never had a Scalextric as a kid and, hey presto, I get a Scalextric set for Christmas.

This set is great. It comes with a Lamborghini Gallardo and a Range Rover Police car. The cars have a 360 degree pickup blade that enables you to do amazing power slides, drifting around corners or even completely spining the car to travel down the track in the opposite direction. In all honestly you usually end up going in the opposite direction if you go around a corner too fast.

One for the older kid (i.e. you!)

Costs around £100

apples iPhone

Or as we like to call it “the daddy” This is the must have gadget and oozes coolness. You will have seen its multitouch interface which is a serious bit of kit. It looks cool, feels cool and lets be honest is cool. If you are looking for an awesome camera then there may be better on the market equally with e-mailers etc but the point here is that the way in which Apple have done it means it is sleek and unique. This will turn heads!! (Price £270)

apple iPod Nano

This is the 3G Nano, with 2inch QVGA screen. It’s sleek and has been completely redesigned from last years model. This rocks and once you have seen it you will want it. The price, currently £100 means it knocks spots of its competitors at the moment. A great gift for you or her. Well tell her it’s for her and then take it down the gym every time you go. Job done!
