Baby Massage…..Definitely something I didn’t think I would get into!!!
However, I can say hand on heart, after the first couple of times I really did enjoy it.
A quick read of the guide and off we go. The first time I attempted this, my son was not sure what was going on and the little petted lip appeared a couple of times. However on the second attempt he was giggling away and really enjoyed it. I found myself really looking forward to coming home on bath nights so that I could spend some intimate time with my son one-on-one.
I had no idea about baby massage before getting the product for review so the guide was essential. It starts a little slowly talking about the benefits of baby massage etc, but once you get to the actual massage technique it’s very clear and easy to follow. It takes you through a bottom to top massage that should help stimulate your baby’s circulation and aid in bonding with your baby through skin to skin contact.
The actual massage oil is pure organic sunflower oil, which is apparently the same pH as your baby’s skin. It is wonderfully tactile and heats up very quickly in your hands. My boy absolutely loved the heat from my hands and the oil and responded very positively to whole massage experience.
The oil itself may seem a little expensive for sunflower oil, however you do have the peace of mind that you are using a top quality product that is not going to harm your baby, and you can’t really put a price on that.
I would highly recommend both massage oil and the guide, as the two really go hand in hand.
