Still waiting....... 3 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 79
ok, firstly apologies for the most infrequent blogg in history. A lot has happened in the last 2 weeks and no.2 still has not poked his head out through the cob webs between the wifes legs.

So, since I last wrote my blogg I have forked out £700 on servicing my car, been made redundant and told the last 7 weeks work will be unpaid, set up a new company, realised my mortgage protection only works if I am critically ill or maimed but not if made redundant, begged for money from the in-laws, told my wife she is getting nothing for her 30th birthday (which is today) and to put a great big cherry on the cake, got pulled over by the police yesterday whilst picking up my stuff from the office and given a fine and 3 points. They even had the audacity to say I was 'lucky' that they were not going to fine me for not having the paper copy of my license. I mean who carries that with them? I was very close to dropping my trousers, putting my hands on the bonnet and asking who was going first.

However, despite all of the above I am feeling a lucky man and happier than I can recall in a long time. The reason? I am not quite sure to be honest. The impending arrival I think has a lot to do with it, as does no.1 who is at that stage where everything is fun and can always be relied upon to say something funny - his latest is to let everyone know when anyone is going to the toilet e.g. Grandma going for poo poo!!

Despite running around London trying to set up a new company I have spent a lot of time at home and it has been great. No more daily commute, dropping no.1 off at nursery, actually seeing him during the week rather than popping my head around the door at 9 to see him sleeping. And whilst I have to confess to being a little materialistic it has actually been quite fun shopping for bargains and cooking from fresh rather than ready made M&S meals.

With no.2 due, xmas on the horizon, wife turning 30 and a long deep recession ahead (I work in the recruitment sector by the way, specialising in bankers!) I thought it was the worst thing that could have happened, but in fact perhaps for the best. It is half 4 on a Friday evening and I am off to watch James Bond as a treat for my wife on her birthday!!! Well, it was that or Mamma mia!!

Oh, and lastly a word of advice, always read the small print of your insurance policy!!
