Hi guys, just after some advice on going out places when you have a toddler. Our little boy is 13 months old and has been crawling since about 9 months, we think he is going to be walking soon and we do find he gets very frustrated when he has been in either his high chair or pushchair, my worry is that if we ever want to go out for a meal to the local pub etc he will only last a few minutes in a high chair before screaming and wanting to get out and crawl around (which is just not practical in a pub). We have my sisters wedding next week and will obviously be having a sit down meal for an hour or so !!
Just not sure what to do I dont even think toys are the answer as he has a very short attention span, any advice would be really appreciated, many thanks.
Roger

Alas, many people find that they dont go out at this stage because of the hassle involved.
However at this time of year, find a pub with a beer garden so you can let junior down to play. Or alternitivley find a corner of the pub, and block it off with chairs, prams ect so you can let them down to play.
as for the wedding, you are probably going to have to take it in turns looking after your toddler while the other is eating/mingelling. Also one or both of you is going to have to go to the room with them when its their bedtime, you can keep them up a little later, but you are going to find that they get kranky and tired if you keep them up late.
anyway this is only my experience and I hope it helps
